Gonzales County is a rural Texas county, located approximately 65 miles east of San Antonio, 65 miles south of Austin, 125 miles west of Houston, 14 miles south of Interstate 10.
Population – The 2000 population figures showed 7,202 in the City of Gonzales, 18,628 in the County.

Copies of the Gonzales County History Book are available there and at the Old Jail Museum for $75 each, shipping extra.
